Day 4: Hiking Vail Mountain

Day 3

We made it to Vail, CO in the early evening on Day 2 and took a nice long walk through East Vail with the friends we're staying with and now we're livin' the good life at the Galatyn Lodge...

Day 3 we looked at potential apartments for our tentative plan of moving to Vail for the ski season and spent time with our friends.

Day 4 is much more eventful. Promise.

Day 2

in front of our breakfast stop in Grand Junction, CO with Chelsea

right outside of Glenwood Springs, CO we took a break from driving to sit by the river

made it to Glenwood Springs and the hot spring is like a public pool

i've never seen such gorgeous poppies 

our first glimpses of the snow-capped rockies

Day 1: Don't ever stop in Chinle

misfits in the morning [the sun was ridiculously bright hence the faces]

annnd we're on our way...

ever since we left Flagstaff, AZ there were crazy winds and dust storms that didn't really stop until we hit Colorado

somehow we strayed from our original route (119) and made an unplanned stop at the Four Corners 

and ate indian fry bread :)

 we found our way back to the 191!

We finally made it to Colorado and our stopping point was in Palisade where our friend Chelsea was staying -just our luck! Palisade is right outside of Grand Junction and they are known for their peaches but unfortunately we were too early for peach season.

First day down. See you in CO.
